Welcome home

Well, here we go.  Drew, Arabella and I have moved from Ormond Beach, Florida to Albuquerque, New Mexico.  We never thought we would be leaving all of our family and everything we are so familiar and comfortable with and coming so far away... to a place called Albuquerque!  But, God is in control of all things, and he is working all things for good... and we trust in that.  So, he called us out here, 30 hours away from home, to minister full time to his church and his people.  And we came.

We've been here just over 3 weeks, but it seems like longer already.  It's so different from where we are from, but we already love it here.  The weather is beautiful, but dry.  And we come from a town that is at sea-level and now we are about 1 mile up!  So, the air is thin and that takes some getting used to.

We miss our family so much, we left all of you behind.  But, we are meeting a lot of new people, new families, God's family!  We have felt welcome and been taken care of.

I hope to keep up with this blog to keep you all back home posted on what is going on in our lives way out west.  So far, we aren't 100% unpacked, but that's because I don't have YOUR help!  We don't have a bed or dresser, and some other little things that we sold back home.  But, we are blessed to be in our condo and love the location we finally found.  I'll post some pics soon of our new home so keep watching for more updates!

Love you all.

By His grace,
Crissie

  1. Your new Albuquerque crew is so glad you are here! God has done such a great work to prepare you two to serve DSC. His plan is perfect so we just need to join in and see what He has for us all. We look forward to growing together.
We do know what a sacrifice your families are making, especially the grandparents being so far away from the G-kids. I hope visits will be affordable and often.

  2. Crissie! Welcome to blogspot - I love it. Even though I haven't seen you in person in like 10 years it has been fun "catching" up through facebook. Moving so far away can be hard - especially with Arabella and a new little one. (Congrats on having a boy!) But it also sounds like a fun adventure, with meeting new people and giving your kid(s) some great memories of new places.
    Best Wishes!
